Grand America Hotel Wedding
Katie and Chris held their lavish wedding at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was filled with personal touches, flowers, candles and so much love from friends and family. I immediately felt like I had been part of their group for years. When Kaite and I met for our first consultation, she showed up with a 4-inch thick binder filled with her dream wedding details, vendor notes, receipts and more. I had NEVER seen someone so organized!
We started the day out in a beautiful hotel room with her bridesmaids and mom. Sipping champs, laughing and preparing for the big show. Kaite was so cool, calm and collected. She looked at me at one point and just said, “I’m not nervous, I’m just so ready to get married to Chris.” Naturally, I got emotional, story of my life!
They already knew that they wanted to save the first look for that moment when she walked down the aisle. However, they knew that they wanted to give each other a kiss before the ceremony.
Kaite looked stunning in her beaded gown and it fit her like a glove! The ceremony took place in the outdoor garden which was totally private and exactly what she envisioned.
One thing that these two newlyweds were so excited about was the flamming doughnut station! Pretty sure that each guest had at least 2. I know that I snuck 4 by the time the night was over. Don’t judge me…
With live music, drinks, dessert, and dancing, this was an amazing wedding. The night just got better and better once the dance floor really heated up. Katie and her bridesmaids were dancers at the University of Utah so of course, they needed to bust a few moves. The plan was to so a send of with balloons that lit up but the weather was not working with us. So I improvised and had everyone grab a candlestick and make their way to the hall. It ended up being a better sendoff then anyone expected.
